Anchor Baptist Church was established in 1998 by Pastor Rijn Abrell. The name Anchor Baptist was inspired by the scripture passage Hebrews 6:19
“Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast,”
The anchor represents stability and the security that we at Anchor Baptist Church have in Jesus Christ. Our mission is to inform everyone who is listening about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us how we can go to Heaven.
Are You 100% Sure You Are Going To Heaven?
What does the Bible say that you need to know in order to go to Heaven?
1. Many say that we are all basically good, but what does the Bible say?
The Bible says in Romans 3:23
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
2. Many say that there is no penalty for sin, but what does the Bible say?
The Bible says in Romans 6:23a
“For the wages of sin is death;”
The word “death” is not just physical death but also spiritual death of separation from God forever in the Lake of Fire. This our punishment for our sin and a debt you owe as of right now. Consider Revelation 21:8
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
3. How can you pay this penalty?
You cannot! Jesus loves you so much that He paid the penalty for you by shedding His blood on the cross for your sins. The Bible says in Romans 5:8
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
4. How much is this going to cost me?
Eternal life in Heaven cost us nothing and is offered to us as a free gift from God. The Bible says in Romans 6:23b
“… but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
A gift is given by the giver at no cost of the recipient. You cannot buy it, work for it, go to church for it or be good to receive it. It is absolutely free.
Knowing now what the Bible says, Can you agree with these three statements?
We are all sinners and need Gods forgiveness.
We realize that there is a penalty for sin and we cannot pay it ourselves.
We believe Jesus Christ is Son of God and that He died on the cross, shed His blood for all our sins.
5. What must I do?
The Bible says in Romans 10:13
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
“Whosoever” means you. You could put your name there: ”For (your name) shall call upon the name of the Lord, (you) shall be saved.” It’s that simple, will you call on Him today?
“Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I know I cannot save myself. Right now, I ask you to come into my heart, forgive my sins, and take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you Jesus for saving me today. Amen”
